Intelligent Beast is the creation of John Parlato, an award-winning writer/creative director.

He saw a need for video content driven by ideas, not just execution.  Together with a network of talented cinematographers, editors, and art directors, Intelligent Beast creates strong emotional narratives that are on point, on time, and on budget.

John is a former Executive Creative Director with Doner, one of the country’s largest independent ad agencies. He invented the iconic “Counting Sheep” for Serta Mattresses, and was part of the team that created “Zoom-Zoom” for Mazda, and Mr. Six, the dancing octogenarian, for Six Flags Amusement Parks. His work has received two Cannes Lions, Andy Awards, Clios, One Show, and, in 2007, the Counting Sheep were voted into the Advertising Hall of Fame.

Nobody wants to read a brochure

More and more companies have learned that video is the best way to engage their customers, prospects, employees, and any other group they need to impact.  Good video content touches audiences in a way no other medium can - if it's done right.

These days it’s not hard to find someone who understands the mechanics of using a camera or editing on a laptop. In truth, it’s easy to put together a piece of video content.  The difficult part, as with all creative endeavors, is talent and skill. Budgets big or small need a distinctive idea, a strong script, and a flawless execution.

A Few words on working with us

It’ll start with a call.  You tell us what you’re trying to do, and we’ll help you figure out the best way to achieve it. We’re good listeners, and we understand you know your business better than we ever can.  Chances are you’ll want to put in too much. We may want to take out too much.  This is where collaboration comes in.  We’ll submit a rough script and a visual treatment.  Together, we’ll hammer out a final version.  Once a schedule is set, we welcome your presence and participation.
